Prime Bid Version 9.20

Prime Bid 9.20 is a maintenance release that includes a small feature addition.

1. Claim Rights function - Added

This function allows the master user to claim rights from a user who has crashed out of the file for any reason.

Prime Bid Version 9.09

Prime Bid 9.09 is maintenance release that includes a few features as well.

1. Vendor Preferred Contact Method - Both - Added

A vendor can now have a preferred contact method of both email and fax, so when using the Preferred Contact Method option in the broadcast wizard, they will receive both forms of communication.

2. DIR Numbers for Vendors - Added

Vendors now have a field for DIR numbers, primarily for use in California.

3. Division - Details Review Filter - Added

The new Division - Details Review filter allows you to flag sections with up to five different descriptions that are each colorized: Complete, Incomplete, Missing, Flag and Partial. Colors for these flags may be set in the Sections Preferences window.

Prime Bid Version 9.0

Prime Bid 9.0 is an upgrade to Prime Bid Professional based on the requests of many Prime Bid end users. This release focuses on improvements and additional capabilities within the alternate analysis and the handling of subcontractors, as well as feature upgrades for a more powerful matrix view. The following is a brief description of each of the new features in Prime Bid 9.0.

Summary and Alternates

1. Calculate Base Bid with Selected Alts

A new tab in Alternates Analysis window that allows you to get a summary of totals based on selected alternates. The summary includes the division breakdown, as well as mark-ups, indirect costs, bonds and allowances.

2. Calculate Base Bid with Selected Alts Roll Back

The rollback alternates feature can create a new bid file by combining all selected alternates and placing them and their totals into the base bid of the new bid file. There are three options on how the add-ons shall be handled.

3. Printing and Print Preview in Alternates Analysis Window

All screens in the Alternates Analysis window now have the capability to be printed or previewed.

4. Bond Percentages

The Summary view now shows each Bond's percentage of the total bid.

5. Allowances

Allowances now display on the right-hand side of the Summary view under the division breakdown as well as the left side.

Section View Features

6. New Filter - All Vendors in Matrices

A new filter which shows all of the vendors in each matrix and includes the following vendor info: Vendor Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Contractor License.

7. New Filter - Sub Listing - Contact Info

A new filter which shows all of the accepted vendors within each matrix and includes the following vendor info: Vendor Name, Address, City, State, Zip, Subcontractor Contact, Subcontractor Phone Number, Subcontractor Phone Extension, Contractor License, Type of work, Amount, %.

8. New Filter - Mat Listing - Details

A new filter which shows all of the accepted material Suppliers within each matrix and includes the following vendor info: Mat Supplier Name, Category, Supplier Address, Supplier City, Supplier State, Supplier Zip, Supplier License, Supplier Type of Work, Amount, %.

9. New Filter - Mat Listing - Contact Info

A new filter which shows all of the accepted material Suppliers within each matrix and includes the following vendor info: Mat Supplier Name, Supplier Address, Supplier City, Supplier State, Supplier Zip, Supplier Contact, Supplier Phone, Supplier License, Supplier Type of Work, Amount, %.

Subcontractor Features

10. Six-Digit Divisions and Sections in Vendor Databases

Vendors in the vendor databases can now have six-digit sections as well as the already available five-digit sections. There are new fields for Six-Digit Main Division, Six-Digit Main Section, and additional Six-Digit CSI Sections. There is a toggle to view five- or six-digit sections in most places the bid vendor databases are used.

11. Tool to Convert Five-Digit Sections to Six-Digit Sections

A new tool that allows the conversion of five-digit sections into six-digit sections, or vice versa.

12. Show Six-Digit Sections in Bid Vendor Database Filters

The bid vendor database can sort vendors by either five-digit or six-digit section codes, depending on the choice in the Bid Setup window.

Matrix Features

13. Choose Selected Contact to Display

There is now the capability to select which contact for a given vendor displays in the vertical view matrices and Section view filters.

14. Ignore Vendor from Solution

You may now ignore vendors and their bids from being counted toward matrix solutions. Doing this will exclude their bid from being accepted, and it will not be used in matrix solution calculations. This allows you to display and store more bids in complex matrices while keeping the solve time low.

15. Mark Scope Item - Additional Colors

There are now five different markings when marking a scope item. Each marking will display with a different background color that can be chosen in the preferences. This gives more flexibility in how scope item marking can be used.

16. Scope Item Database

There is a new Items menu which for the new scope items database capability. A scope items database stores scope items so that you may have pre-defined scope items for bids. It allows you to quickly select scope items to be inserted into sections. Scope items may be imported into a database from an external spreadsheet, as well as exported out of the database.
