PrimeBid is one of the first Tesla Powershare certified installers in Florida
Tesla Powershare turns a Cybertruck into a home backup battery via bidirectional charging. PrimeBid is among the earliest certified Powershare installers in Florida.

Tesla Powershare allows bidirectional charging between a Tesla Cybertruck and your home. In practice: your Cybertruck does not just charge from solar or the grid. It can send power back to your house during an outage, acting as a mobile backup battery with substantially more capacity than a typical home battery.
PrimeBid Energy LLC is one of the first certified Powershare installers in Florida, with completed Powershare projects across the state.
What Tesla Powershare actually does
A standard EV charges in one direction: grid to vehicle. Powershare-enabled Cybertruck supports both directions. With the right home wiring (a Powershare-compatible electrical infrastructure and the Tesla Universal Wall Connector), the Cybertruck can:
- Power your home during a grid outage (vehicle-to-home, or V2H)
- Discharge to the home during peak-rate utility hours to avoid expensive grid draws
- Combine with Tesla Powerwall and solar for a multi-source backup strategy
- Charge from solar during the day and discharge at night
A Cybertruck's battery is roughly 7-9 times the capacity of a single Powerwall. For multi-day Florida hurricane outages, that capacity headroom is meaningful.
What PrimeBid handles for Powershare
- Permitting and utility coordination for bidirectional charging interconnection
- EV charger installation (Tesla Universal Wall Connector + Powershare wiring)
- Cybertruck integration with existing solar and Powerwall, if any
- Florida Building Code compliance and inspection support
- Activation, commissioning, and ongoing support
Where Powershare fits in a Florida energy strategy
Powershare is not a replacement for Powerwall. It is a complement. Powerwall is purpose-built home battery storage: always-on, instant-transfer during outages, sized for whole-home backup. Cybertruck Powershare adds substantial additional capacity for extended outages, and avoids stranding the vehicle's battery as a single-use asset.
For Florida homeowners who already own or are buying a Cybertruck, adding Powershare to an existing solar + Powerwall install is a relatively small additional engagement that meaningfully extends hurricane backup capacity.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Tesla Powershare?
- Powershare is Tesla's vehicle-to-home (V2H) bidirectional charging system. When installed on a Powershare-compatible electrical setup, a Tesla Cybertruck can both charge from and discharge to a home, providing backup power during outages and helping avoid peak-rate utility hours.
- Does Powershare work with cars other than Cybertruck?
- As of 2025, Powershare's bidirectional V2H is available on the Tesla Cybertruck. Tesla has indicated other models will gain Powershare capability over time. PrimeBid will install Powershare hardware for any Tesla model when Tesla rolls out compatibility.
- Do I need Powerwall if I have Powershare?
- Not strictly, but the combination is more resilient than either alone. Powerwall provides always-available, instant-transfer backup tuned for whole-home use. Powershare adds large additional capacity from the Cybertruck. Together they give you both immediate response and multi-day capacity.
- Where does PrimeBid install Powershare?
- PrimeBid Energy LLC installs Powershare across the state of Florida, the same footprint we cover for Tesla Solar Roof, Powerwall, and traditional solar.
